Author
Artist, editor, and photographer Ariana Crowell specializes in the culinary arts. She is a graduate of the Institute of Culinary Education and works on both recipe creation and evaluation. Over the course of four years, she has worked as a professional chef and recipe photographer.
Highlights:
- Attended New York's Institute of Culinary Education and graduated with degrees in both culinary arts and culinary management;
- Used to work as a prep cook and taste new recipes at a tapas bar;
- Worked as food styling photographer for well-known companies.
Experience:
During her time as an undergraduate, Crowell discovered the profound power of food to unite people and has never been the same since. Washington College alumna worked as an IT Project Coordinator for a while after graduation before following her true calling in the kitchen.
While in New York, she did an externship at a tapas restaurant and recipe testing at The Institute of Culinary Education.
After finishing culinary school, she found work as a food stylist's assistant. It was during this time that she also contributed as a food editor to various publications.
Education:
Crowell graduated from Washington College with a degree in the humanities. In addition, she has a couple of diplomas from New York's prestigious Institute of Culinary Education in both culinary arts and management.
