However, buying canned soybeans may not be the best idea as they are often laden with sodium and preservatives. Cooking dried soybeans is a better option, and here's how to do it.

Cooking dried soybeans can be done using a stovetop, pressure cooker, or slow cooker. Using a pressure cooker or slow cooker is more convenient as it takes several hours to cook soybeans.
B. Preparing Soybeans
Before cooking soybeans, check them for any discolored beans, grit or impurities. Rinse the soybeans thoroughly to remove any dirt, debris or excess starch.
C. Stovetop Cooking
Soaking dried soybeans overnight in a large bowl or pot is recommended. Make sure to cover them with plenty of water. After soaking, drain the water and add the beans to a pot of boiling water. Allow the soybeans to simmer for about three hours, or 4 hours when necessary, until they are tender. For every one cup of soybeans, use three cups of water.
D. Pressure Cooker Cooking
Soak the soybeans for at least four hours, preferably overnight. Discard the water and return the soybeans to the pressure cooker with four cups of fresh water. Cook for 10-15 minutes, depending on the length of the soaking time, then turn off the heat and allow the pressure cooker to release the pressure slowly over 20-60 minutes.
E. Slow Cooker Cooking
Soak the soybeans for four hours minimum or overnight, then discard the water and rinse the beans. Add four cups of water for every one cup of soybeans and cook on high for 6-8 hours.
Cooking dried soybeans may take a while, but it’s worth it. You’ll get a tender, flavorful bean with no added chemicals or preservatives. Keep in mind that soybeans tend to expand while cooking, so don't forget to use the right water-to-bean ratio to avoid a watery end product.
