You can make these delicious air fryer snacks with just a box or bag of frozen bagel bites. I can say without a doubt that heating bagel bites in an air fryer is the quickest and most convenient method. Just try it out, and you'll see what I mean.
To be honest, we've been using the microwave to make bagel bites for years, but they still come out a little squishy sometimes. With an air fryer, you can get that perfect crunch and bubbly texture.
Prepare your own bagel bites or use store-bought, frozen bagel bites in this recipe. Below, you'll find detailed guides for creating both.
Where to Find Bagel Bites
While there are numerous varieties of pizza bagels on the market, there is only one Bagel Bites. Two Floridians created these, and now Heinz and Ore-Ida own the trademark.
Typically sold in boxes of 9, Bagel Bites come in four different flavors: mozzarella, cheese & pepperoni, cheese sausage & pepperoni, and three cheese. To round out the menu, we also offer Bagel Dogs.

To prepare frozen bagel bites for cooking
Make sure there is only one layer of bagel bites in the air fryer basket, then cook them for 5 minutes at 360 degrees Fahrenheit (180 degrees Celsius).

Before taking the bites out of the air fryer, double-check the doneness. A minute more cooking time may be required for your bites because every air fryer is slightly different.
As soon as they're done, take the bites out and serve them hot.

When to Remove Bagel Bites from the Oven
The vast majority of times, you will be cooking these Bagel Bites from frozen. Put them in the freezer until you're ready to use them. Cooking time for frozen Bagel Bites in an air fryer is about 5 minutes.
If your Bagel Bites have been defrosted and are no longer frozen, they may only need 3 minutes and 30 seconds in the microwave.

Tips for Making Your Own Bagel Bites at Home
List of Necessary Items
- Six mini-bagels, which can be found in some supermarkets. If you can't find mini-bagels, regular-sized bagels will do in a pinch.
- Only about a quarter cup of tomato sauce; I don't like to get fancy with it. All I do is mix a little oregano into canned tomato puree. If you're feeling particularly posh, you can even make your own pizza sauce!
- The 2 ounces of pepperoni can be easily substituted with pepperoni sausage that has been purchased pre-cooked and then sliced into small pieces. You can also buy pre-cut pepperoni pieces. If you have any trouble locating these, you can always just buy slices and chop them up yourself.
- One cup of mozzarella cheese; shredded mozzarella cheese, which you'll shred to get smaller pieces is ideal. To accomplish this task successfully, you need a cheese that doesn't contain a lot of moisture, so a block of fresh mozzarella is out.
Putting Together Bagels
Release the bagel buns Cover both sides of the bagels with a thin layer of tomato sauce. Top each bagel with a mixture of chopped pepperoni and mozzarella.
Place the bagel bites into the air fryer basket without crowding or touching. During the first five minutes of cooking, set the oven to 360 degrees Fahrenheit (180 degrees Celsius).
The Benefits of Using an Air Fryer
Using an air fryer, you can quickly and easily prepare a wide variety of foods. To achieve the same crispiness as deep-frying without the use of oil, you place the food in a fryer-style basket and subject it to rapid circulations of hot air from all sides. Everything you normally bake in an oven can be cooked here.

- 2 ounces small cubes of pepperoni
- 1 cup Cheese made from mozzarella mozzarella cheese
- Spread out the frozen bagel bites in the air fryer basket so that they don't touch. For 5 minutes, heat to 180 degrees Fahrenheit (360 degrees Celsius).
- Pop the bagels open. Bagel halves should have a thin layer of tomato sauce spread on them. Spread each bagel with tomato sauce and a mixture of mozzarella and pepperoni.
- Place the bagel bites in the air fryer basket carefully, making sure they don't touch. 5 minutes at 360 degrees Fahrenheit (180 degrees Celsius)
Each air fryer has a unique wattage, so cooking times will vary. For optimal results, you might have to play around with the timing or temperature.
